Gold futures finish higher on safe haven appeal

Gold futures finished higher on Monday, boosted by the safe haven appeal of the bullion amidst uncertainties surrounding US tariffs and its global impact. Meanwhile, investors keenly eyed on Friday’s nonfarm payrolls, which could offer more insights about the strength of the U.S. economy.

Gold futures for April rose by $22.10 or 0.78% to $2,857.10 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold added by 0.14% or $3.61 to $ 2,818.93 ounce
