Godawari Power and Ispat suspends mining activities temporarily at Boria Tibu

Godawari Power and Ispat has temporarily suspended its mining activities at Boria Tibu with effect from April 01, 2025 due to expiry of mining plan approval for company's Boria Tibu, Iron Ore mines situated at Boria Tibu village in the district of Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh as approved by Indian Bureau of Mines has expired on March 31,2025. The company has already applied for renewal of Mining Plan approval for renewal of mining plan is awaited.

The operations at the mines will be resumed after receipt of renewal approval from Indian Bureau of Mines, which is expected to take around 10 days. A suitable intimation shall be given to exchange upon receipt of approval of re-start of the operations in the said mines. The annual rated capacity of aforesaid Iron Ore Mines is 7,05,000 TPA as per earlier approved mining plan. However, there is no major financial impact on the performance of the company since the contribution from mine in the profitability of the company was negligible till now in high cost of operations.

Godawari Power and Ispat is engaged in the production of sponge iron, steel billets, ferro alloys, HB wires, oxygen, fly ash bricks and is also in the power business.
