Aug-13-2025

Crude oil futures ended lower on Tuesday ahead of an upcoming meeting between US and Russian presidents in Alaska on August 15, 2025, as the outcome is expected to heavily push or pull oil prices. Traders also overlooked US President Donald Trump signing an executive order extending the trade truce with China for another 90 days.

Benchmark crude oil futures for September declined $0.79 or 1.24% at $63.17 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for October delivery decreased $0.51 or 0.77% to settle at $66.12 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
