Maruti Suzuki India reports marginal fall in total sales in August 2025

Maruti Suzuki India has reported a marginal fall of 0.60% in total sales (Domestic + Export) to 180,683 units in August 2025 as compared to sales of 181,782 units in August 2024. Its total domestic passenger vehicle sales were at 131,278 units compared to 143,075 units in the same month last year, down 8.25%.

Sales of mini-segment cars - Alto and S-Presso declined to 6,853 units in August 2025 against 10,648 units in the same month last year. Sales of compact cars, including Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR, increased to 59,597 units in August 2025 from 58,051 units in August 2024. Utility vehicles - Grand Vitara, Fronx, Invicto, Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, and Jimny clocked sales of 54,043 units last month compared to 62,684 units in the same month a year ago. Sales of Eeco vans stood at 10,785 units in August 2025 against 10,985 units in August 2024. Light commercial vehicle - Super Carry sales fell to 2,772 units in August 2025 from 2,495 units in the same month last year. 

The company’s exports in August 2025 stood at 36,538 units as compared to 26,003 units in August 2024, a registering a growth of 40.51%.
