Gold futures trade bullish as dollar, bonds slide
Oct-17-2025

Gold futures traded bullish on MCX, as the heightened global tensions and conflicts, such as those in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, spurred safe haven appeal of the bullion. Moreover, softer dollar, sliding bond yielding notes and strong seasonal domestic demand ahead of festivals like Diwali kindled the investment appeal of the precious metal.

The contract for February delivery was trading at Rs 133100.00 up by 1.53% or Rs 2003.00 from its previous closing of Rs 131097.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1650 lots on MCX.
