Copper futures settle lower on Tuesday

Copper futures settled almost flat on Tuesday as investors waited to see whether the world’s two largest economies would finalize a much-anticipated trade deal. Meanwhile, investors were also awaiting the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy announcement on Wednesday.

Copper futures for December delivery fell $0.0005 to settle at $5.1710 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. However, Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up by 0.09% at $11,038.50 a ton.
