Crude oil futures end lower on Thursday
Nov-07-2025

Crude oil futures ended lower on Thursday as concerns about oversupply and weaker demand of crude continue to weigh on investors’ sentiments. Traders also remained cautious amid ongoing U.S. government shutdown as the shutdown could slow down the economy tremendously and reduce oil and energy consumption and trigger a fall in oil prices. Besides, data released by the American Petroleum Institute revealed that the U.S. crude oil inventories increased by 6.5 million barrels for the week ending October 31 following a 4-million-barrel draw in the previous week.

Benchmark crude oil futures for December fell $0.17 or 0.29% at $59.43 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery slumped $0.14 or 0.22% to settle at $63.38 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
