Gold futures trade sharply higher in early deals on Monday

Gold futures traded sharply higher in early deals on Monday, kindled by the weakness in dollar and on safe haven appeal amid mounting concerns over the US economy. The yellow metal for the most active contract had marked a rise of 0.33% gain for the week.

Gold futures for December delivery up by $54.70 or 1.36% to $4,064.50 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold added by $54.29 points or 0.1.36% to $4,055.55 ounce.
