Crude oil futures settle higher amid energy supply concerns
Mar-18-2026

Crude oil futures settled higher on Tuesday as traders were concerned about impact of the West Asia crisis on global energy supplies. The rebound in crude oil prices followed recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates’ international airport and Fujairah oil port, which fueled fears of supply disruptions.

Benchmark crude oil futures for April delivery increased $2.71 or 2.90% to settle at $96.21 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for May delivery surged $3.21 or 3.20% to settle at $103.42 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
