Crude oil futures settle higher on Friday

Crude oil futures settled higher on Friday amid renewed Iranian strikes on Kuwait have intensified fears of an extended Gulf conflict, fueling worries about supply disruptions.

Benchmark crude oil futures for May delivery increased $2.68 or 2.80% to settle at $98.23 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for May delivery surged $3.54 or 3.26% to settle at $112.19 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
