Natural Gas futures rose on MCX as the Gulf truce shows signs of weaking. As per the private report, the Strait of Hormuz remained mostly restricted, with Iran keeping tight control over ship movements and asking for fees for safe passage.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 256.50 up by 0.87% or Rs 2.20 from its previous closing of Rs 254.30. The open interest of the contract stood at 39275 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 271.10 up by 1.23% or Rs 3.30 from its previous closing of Rs 267.80. The open interest of the contract stood at 4572 lots on MCX.
