Titagarh Rail Systems’ arm launches 4th Diving Support Craft A23 for Indian Navy
Apr-20-2026

Titagarh Rail Systems’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Titagarh Naval Systems has launched the fourth Diving Support Craft (DSC) A23 (YARD 328) for the Indian Navy. The vessel is part of an ongoing series of five DSCs being constructed under the Government of India’s Make in India initiative. Designed as catamaran-type vessels, these Diving Support Crafts are equipped with advanced, indigenously sourced systems to support the Indian Navy’s Command Clearance Diving Teams (CCDTs). They will play a critical role in underwater operations, including inspection, repair, maintenance, and salvage activities within harbour and near-shore environments.

In addition to operational deployment, the DSCs will serve as training platforms for the Navy’s diving personnel, supporting capability development and readiness. This launch further underscores the evolving role of Titagarh Naval Systems as the dedicated arm for shipbuilding and maritime systems, following the strategic restructuring of Titagarh Rail Systems. The move enables a sharper focus on maritime growth while continuing to build on the Titagarh Rail Systems’ engineering strengths, reaffirming our commitment to the nation and towards a Viksit Bharat.

Titagarh Rail Systems is formerly known as Titagarh Wagons. The company is mainly engaged in the manufacturing and selling of Freight Wagons, Passenger Coaches, Steel Castings, Specialised Equipments & Bridges, Ships, Heavy Earthmoving and Mining Equipments, etc.
