LIC Mutual Fund Asset Management introduces Voluntary Lock-in / Debit freeze facility

LIC Mutual Fund Asset Management (AMC) has announced Addendum to the Statement of Additional Information (‘SAI’) of Schemes of LIC Mutual Fund.

LIC Mutual Fund has informed that in terms of paragraph 15.20 of SEBI Master Circular for Mutual Funds dated 20th March 2026 read with Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) Best Practices Guidelines Circular No. 124/2026-27 dated 10th April 2026, Unitholders are being offered a Voluntary Lockin / Debit freeze facility on Mutual Fund folios with effect from April 30, 2026. 

The aforesaid facility is being enabled through the MF Central platform (‘MFC’) and the locking and unlocking of Folio can only be undertaken through the MFC Platform. The said facility is being offered only for Individual Investors (Both Resident & Non- Resident investors) holding units in Non-Demat Form (Units held in Statement of Accounts mode). This facility is only available to the First holder registered in the Folio.

This Notice cum Addendum forms an integral part of the SAI as amended from time to time. All other terms & conditions of the SAI remain unchanged.
