Craftsman Automation gets nod to set up manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu

Craftsman Automation has received approval for setting up a new manufacturing facility at Komaranapalli Village, Denkanikottai Taluk, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu (Hosur Unit - 3). The Board of Directors of the Company, at its meeting held on July 29, 2026, has, inter alia, approved the same. 

The company presently operates aluminium products manufacturing facilities in Southern India, catering primarily to leading two-wheeler and passenger vehicle OEMs. With existing capacities nearing optimal utilisation levels and in view of the growing demand from customers in the region, the Board has approved the establishment of an additional manufacturing facility at Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The proposed location provides strategic proximity to key OEM customers and is expected to enhance operational efficiency, improve logistics and support future business growth. 

The company is committing an estimated investment of Rs 100 crore for Phase I and Rs 150 crore for Phase II. The project is proposed to be financed substantially through term loans, with the balance being funded through internal accruals. The proposed facility is expected to be commissioned within 6-8 months, subject to receipt of requisite approvals and completion of project execution activities.
