Gold futures finish higher on safe haven appeal
Aug-11-2026
Gold futures finished higher on Monday, boosted by the safe haven appeal followed by disappointing US non-farm payroll reports. Additionally, softer dollar as well as looming uncertainties surrounding the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and US- Iran hostilities also kindled yellow metal investments.

Gold futures for December delivery up by $20.00 to 0.45% to $4,419.70 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold up by $18.09 or 0.41% to $4,409.04 an ounce.
