Aug-25-2026

Copper futures settled higher on Monday after a spike in London Metal Exchange withdrawal requests hinted at tighter supply. Copper prices rose further as the US dollar stayed near multi-month lows, which made copper cheaper for buyers holding other currencies.

Copper futures for September delivery rose $0.018 to settle at $6.6050 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up by 0.40% at $14,273 a ton.
