Gold futures traded lower in early deals on Monday, saddled by surge in US Treasury yield notes. Additionally, persistent inflation concerns and recent hawkish guidance from the Federal Reserve have heightened investor expectations for higher interest rates, dampening the investment appeal of precious metals

Gold futures for December delivery dipped by $27.50 or 0.62% to $4,397.40 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold down by $14.81 or 0.34% to $4,363.82 an ounce.
