Copper futures settle higher on Thursday
Sep-25-2026
Copper futures settled higher on Thursday due to worries over persistent supply risks in the global market. Moreover, stronger Chinese demand ahead of the country’s October National Day golden week break also supported sentiment. However, a stronger American currency, rising US Treasury yields and growing expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike limited further gains in copper prices.

Copper futures for December delivery rose $0.0365 to settle at $6.79 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up by 0.02% at $14,621 a ton.
