Gold futures traded higher in early deals on Monday, kindled by the weakness in US Treasury yield bonds and on safe haven appeal amidst persisting geopolitical uncertainties. The yellow metal for the most active contract had marked 3.6% loss for the week.

Gold futures for December delivery rose by $18.20 or 0.44% to $4,180.50 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold down by $0.47 or 0.01% to $4,140.72 an ounce.
