Gold futures finish higher at record high on Friday

Gold futures finished higher on Friday, marking a fresh record-high settlement on account of spike in safe haven appeal of the bullion as the Israel-Iran tensions intensified. Investment appeal of the yellow metal also got encouraged on weakness in dollar as well as slide in bond yield notes. The yellow metal for the most active contract registered a weekly advance of 1.7%, notching sharpest weekly gain in two weeks.

Gold futures for June delivery jumped by $15.80 or 0.66% to $2,413.80 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose by $12.89 points or 0.54% to $2,391.93 an ounce.
