Sep-22-2021

Copper futures ended higher on Tuesday on fading fears on contagion from debt-laden Chinese property firm Evergrande. Meanwhile, investors awaited updates from the US Fed's policy meeting due this week for cues on tapering of its massive stimulus and tightening of an ultra-loose monetary policy.

Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0115 to settle at $4.1260 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 0.64 percent at $8,975.50 a ton.
