Copper futures settle higher on Wednesday
Dec-01-2022
Copper futures settled higher on Wednesday after US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell confirmed a slower pace of interest rate hikes from December at the earliest. Further, a weaker dollar and optimism over a demand recovery following an easing of covid restrictions in China also supported red metal prices.

Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0995 to settle at $3.7295 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 2.51 percent at $8,239 a ton.
