Maha Vikas Aghadi a vehicle sans wheels and brakes: PM Modi
Nov-08-2024

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Maha Vikas Aghadi, an alliance of opposition parties in Maharashtra, is a vehicle that has neither wheels nor brakes and everyone is fighting to sit on the driver's seat.

Addressing his first public rally in Dhule ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, Modi said only the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance will ensure speedy development of Maharashtra and good governance that Maharashtra needs. Modi said that whenever he has asked for something from the people of Maharashtra, they have given him their blessings wholeheartedly. He added, ‘We consider people as another form of God, but some people are in politics to loot the people. I assure you that the pace at which Maharashtra's development has gained in the last two-and-a-half years will not be allowed to stop’.

Accusing the grand old party, PM said a dangerous game of pitting one caste against another is being played by the Congress. This game is being played because Congress can never see the Dalits, backward classes, and tribals progressing. This is the history of Congress. Modi said the Congress was in power simultaneously at the Centre and in Maharashtra but never felt the need for Marathi to be given the status of classical language.

PM also announced that the Mahayuti government will recruit 25,000 women into the police force to enhance women’s security and create job opportunities.
