PM Modi attacks AAP govt over education; says money not spent in development
Jan-03-2025

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack at the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and said ‘Those who have been in power in Delhi for the last 10 years - have damaged school education’.

While inaugurating various projects including Slum Rehabilitation Project and Swabhiman Apartments at Jailorwala Bagh in Delhi, PM Narendra Modi said that the current AAP government did not care about the children of Delhi and alleged that more than half of the money sent by the Indian government to the state was not utilised for education.

Taking a dig at Kejriwal, PM Modi said, ‘For the past 10 years, Delhi has been surrounded by a big aapda (disaster). By putting Anna Hazare in the forefront, some bigoted and dishonest people pushed Delhi into a disaster. Scam in liquor shops, scam in children’s schools, scam in treatment of poor people, scam in the name of recruitments, these people used to talk about development of Delhi, but these people have attacked Delhi by becoming a disaster.

PM further slammed the AAP's ‘shamelessness’ over the current situation of Yamuna. He asked, ‘What kind of aapda is this, they say that cleaning Yamuna won't get them votes - will you leave Yamuna like this if it doesn't get you votes?’ He said that this 'disaster' has handed over the lives of Delhi residents to the ‘tanker mafia’.

Hitting back, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said that BJP has no agenda for the assembly polls.
