Ami Organics commissions 10.8 MW DC solar power plant in Gujarat
Apr-03-2025

Ami Organics has commissioned its 10.8 MW DC solar power plant - a significant milestone in its journey toward sustainability and energy independence. The solar facility, located at Pratapnagar, Nandod, Narmada District, Gujarat, India, comprises two captive solar plants, each with a capacity of 5.4 MW.

This achievement aligns with the company’s strategic sustainable business goals and growth plans. As earlier approved by Board of Directors, Ami Organics outlined an ambitious target to establish a total solar power plant capacity of 15.80 MW. With the 10.8 MW plant now fully operational, Ami Organics has made substantial progress toward this goal, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy practices.

The newly commissioned solar plant is projected to deliver substantial annual cost savings by meeting majority of the electricity requirements for the company’s Ankleshwar and Jhagadia units in Gujarat.

Ami Organics is one of the leading research and development driven manufacturers of specialty chemicals. The company manufactures different types of Advanced Pharmaceutical Intermediates and Active Pharmaceutical ingredients (API) for New Chemical Entities, and material for agrochemicals and fine chemicals.
