Tata Consumer Products surges on planning premiumisation of portfolio to drive growth in tea business

Tata Consumer Products is currently trading at Rs 1124.05, up by 31.40 points or 2.87% from its previous closing of Rs 1092.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 1093.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1130.65 and Rs 1093.30 respectively. So far 94333 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 1 has touched a 52-week high of Rs 1234.50 on 17-Sep-2024 and a 52-week low of Rs 884.00 on 20-Dec-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 1130.65 and Rs 1087.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 1,11,229.44 crore.

Tata Consumer Products (TCPL) is planning premiumisation of its portfolio to drive growth in its packaged tea business. TCPL, formerly Tata Tea, sells orthodox and CTC tea under different premium and economy brands. Tea comprises a major chunk of the company’s packaged beverage business, with coffee accounting for a small percentage. The company is offering its packaged beverage products for sale in both general trade and e-commerce routes.
