Rupee weakens against US dollar on Friday
Nov-14-2025
The Indian rupee weakened against the US dollar on Friday due to sluggish equities, foreign fund outflows in the market, and following lack of announcement on the India-US trade deal. Foreign Institutional Investors sold equities worth Rs 383.68 crore on Thursday, exchange data showed. Meanwhile, traders are in cautious mood as counting of votes for the Bihar Assembly polls is currently underway. However, some falls were limited after Moody’s Ratings projected India to remain the fastest-growing G-20 economy through 2027, forecasted that India's GDP growth will grow at 7% in 2025, 6.4% in 2026 and 6.5% in 2027 driven by strong domestic demand, robust infrastructure investment and export diversification.

The partially convertible currency is currently trading at 88.73, weaker by 3 paise from its previous close of 88.70 on Thursday. The currency touched a high and low of 88.75 and 88.70 respectively.
