Sonia Gandhi should apologise: Nadda demands apology from Congress leader over slogans against PM
Dec-15-2025

Union Minister JP Nadda has demanded a public apology from Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for the remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a rally in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Nadda said, ‘Sonia Gandhi ji should apologise to the nation for slogans raised against PM Modi in the Congress rally yesterday. In the Congress rally yesterday, slogans were raised against PM Modi. This shows the Congress party’s thinking and mentality. Saying such things against a Prime Minister is condemnable. Sonia Gandhi ji should apologise to the nation for this’.

Meanwhile, in the Lok Sabha, Kiren Rijiju also demanded an apology from the Congress leadership over 'Modi teri kabar khudegi' slogans raised at a rally.  Rijiju termed it a very sad time for India that the grand old party uses such words. On Deceember 14,2025, top Congress leaders attended the ‘Vote Chor Gaddi Chhodo’ rally held in the Delhi against alleged electoral irregularities, targeted the BJP and the Election Commissioners.

The leaders alleged that vote theft is in BJP’s DNA, saying that the saffron party leaders are traitors who are conspiring to snatch people’s voting rights. The demanded to remove BJP from power. During the rally, a female Congress leader used abusive language against PM Modi. When asked about her remark by reporters later, she defended her comment, saying she was only showing the public anger which exists regarding vote theft. The proceedings in both Houses were adjourned amid a massive ruckus as the BJP sought accountability from Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge.
