GMR Airports acquires 49.90% stake in DDFS
Dec-22-2025

GMR Airports has acquired 3,04,15,621 equity shares, representing 49.90% of the issued and paid-up share capital of its subsidiary company i.e. Delhi Duty Free Services (DDFS) from Delhi International Airport (DIAL), another subsidiary of the company, at an aggregate purchase consideration of Rs 183.22 crore. Following the said acquisition, the company now holds 66.93% of the paid-up equity share capital of DDFS.

DDFS was incorporated on July 07, 2009 under the Companies Act, 1956 and was primarily engaged in development, operation, management and maintaining the Duty-Free Operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. Since the company was appointed as the new concessionaire for the Delhi Duty Free business and since the company would be exploring duty free business opportunities in India and abroad, it would be in the best interest of the company to acquire DIAL’s stake in DDFS.

GMR Airports (formerly GMR Airports Infrastructure), a subsidiary of GEPL, is engaged in development, operation and maintenance of airports along with offering integrated security solutions.
