Soma Papers & Industries touches roof as its arm bags order worth Rs 172.65 crore

Soma Papers & Industries is currently trading at upper limit of Rs. 142.32, up by 6.77 points or 4.99% from its previous closing of Rs. 135.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 142.32 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 142.32 and Rs. 142.32 respectively. So far 57 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'X' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 142.32 on 24-Dec-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 43.89 on 21-Mar-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 142.32 and Rs. 117.11 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1643.45 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.52%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.23% and 48.25% respectively.

Soma Papers & Industries’ wholly owned subsidiary -- KS Smart Solutions (KS Smart) has been awarded a project of around Rs 172.65 crore by the School Education Department, Government of Punjab. The project involves the deployment and commissioning of IT infrastructure across government educational institutions in the State of Punjab, comprising 23,846 mid-level desktop computing systems and 23,207 line-interactive UPS systems, along with associated installation and system readiness activities at designated locations.

Under the project, KS Smart is responsible for supply, installation, configuration, commissioning and warranty support of the systems in accordance with the technical specifications, statutory requirements and government procurement guidelines. The project follows an OEM-verified framework with traceable device identification, configuration integrity and prescribed quality standards.

Through this engagement, KS Smart will support the State’s digital education initiatives by enabling reliable, standardized and scalable computing infrastructure across schools.
