Sampann Utpadan commissions 4 MW Solar Power Plant in Gujarat
Mar-11-2026

Sampann Utpadan India has commissioned and commenced operations of its 4 MW Solar Power Plant in Taluka Desar, Vadodara, Gujarat, with effect from March 10, 2026. The solar power plant is expected to generate around 60,00,000 units (6 million kWh) of clean energy per annum, resulting in substantial savings in power procurement costs. This initiative will significantly reduce dependence on conventional grid power and mitigate exposure to fluctuations in electricity tariffs, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and long-term cost stability.

Further, the project is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 4,500-5,000 metric tons per annum, which is equivalent to the environmental benefit of planting and sustaining around 2.10 lakh mature trees annually. The initiative aligns with India’s renewable energy commitments under the Paris Agreement and supports the objectives of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The commissioning of this 4 MW solar facility reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable growth, responsible environmental stewardship, and long-term value creation for stakeholders.

Sampann Utpadan India was formed with the objective of engaging in the business of producing, manufacturing, generating, supplying, distributing, transforming, converting, transmitting, processing, developing, storing, procuring all forms of power and energy and any such products and by- products derived from such business.
