Benchmarks trade firm in late trade
Nov-03-2026

Benchmarks continued to trade higher in late afternoon session amid strong buying among select banking stocks. Besides, overnight fall in crude oil prices following hopes of peace talks between US and Iran fueled the upside trend. Further, capital inflows from foreign institutional investors (FIIs) uplifted market sentiment. FIIs were the net buyers in Monday’s session with net buying of Rs 3,114.68 crore. Investors remained optimistic after Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government will continue to support economic growth by undertaking capital expenditure (Capex) until private sector investment gains momentum. She emphasised that the government remains committed to fiscal prudence and will continue to play the balancing act by being creative in continuing spending while pushing growth with capex.
